東京都出身の音楽プロデューサー、編曲家、作詞家、作曲家、ベーシスト、キー ボーディスト、ギタリスト、マニピュレーター。幼少期にピアノを学び、久石譲の様な映画音楽家に憧れを抱くが、小6でHi-STANDARDに出会い、バンドマンを目指す事となる。
ポップネスなメロディメイク、 様々なジャンルをクロスオーバーさせたアレンジメントを得意とし、timelesz、official髭男dism、sumika、Superfly、eill、MISIA、あいみょん、BE:FIRST、CHEMISTRY、V6、E-girls、175R、ASH DA HERO、yama、ExWHYZ、藤巻亮太、ALI、ずっと真夜中でいいのにRADIO FISH、など、数多くのアーティストへ楽曲提供やプロデュース、編曲を手掛ける。また、ユーティリティープレイヤーとしてofficial髭男dism、sumika、BE:FIRST、小柳ゆき、藤巻亮太など、数多くのアーティストのライブサポートも行う。フロアの熱量を上げるアジテートと、演出も含めた ライブプロデュース能力が高く評価されている。
2018年、スウェーデンに渡り、海外作家とのco-writing活動を開始、世界マー ケットを視野に入れた音楽活動を展開。2022年、音楽原盤権マーケットプレイス「OIKOS MUSIC」創業。2024年、ラジオ番組の出演をきっかけに、ジャンル、国籍、性別、世代を超えたアーティストがコラボレーションして音楽を世界に届ける、アーティスト集団「cross-dominance（クロスドミナンス）」を発足。音楽エンターテインメントの新たな可能性を模索し続けている。

Ryo 'LEFTY' Miyata is an accomplished music producer, arranger, lyricist, composer, bassist, keyboardist, guitarist, and manipulator who engages in a wide range of musical activities. Known for his skill in crossing over various genres, having produced, composed, and arranged music for many artists such as Superfly, BE:FIRST, MISIA, Sumika, and eill. Lefty is also a utility player who supports live performances for bands like OFFICIAL HIGE DANDISM, where his ability to enhance the live experience through agitation and direction is highly praised.
In 2018, he left to Sweden to engage in co-writing with international songwriters, broadening his reach to the global market. In 2020, he launched "REVEL MUSIC," a creators' union that handles comprehensive music production. To further support artists in all areas of their music activities, he co-founded "OIKOS MUSIC" in 2022. In 2024, he launched the artists collective "cross-dominance."
